Munich, May 27th, 2022 – The RCP Family has exceeded the headcount of 350 people in 2022. The international talent pool has reached a new level in size and diversity, representing 12 game development studios across six countries, a gamification unit, and a boutique digital marketing agency.
From its humble beginnings, starting up with three people in a Munich basement back in 2005, the RCP family has developed into a game production and development power-house with over 30 nationalities working together across four timezones in the respective countries. Until now, the RCP family has shipped over 400 projects of all kinds of genres on every relevant game platform. The unique setup, which blends central services with eye-level partnerships, led to a thriving ecosystem for studios and service companies, helping them focus on creative production and sustainable growth. While at the same time, the teams keep their creative independence.
Despite the global pandemic, the RCP family studios have been growing steadily. Adapting quickly to the new reality of distributed teams and providing employees with the possibility of working remotely makes the original remote control productions company name a pretty prophetic choice after all. More seriously, with the new work setup, RCP and the studios have proven to be attractive destinations for talent from all over the globe. And the hiring across the RCP family continues with more than 30 full-time positions available!
Coinciding with recent hires, new studios that have joined the family are fueling growth, Pakistan-based game developer FRAG Games and Lightword Productions from Germany being two examples. At the same time, longtime family members Chimera Entertainment and stillalive studios ramped up their development teams further, with Chimera contributing a 20% headcount growth and stillalive growing by even 60%. Also, the agency team at attract mode is on a growth trajectory, increasing its team of marketing experts by almost 100%.
In order to fuel the steady expansion of the developer family, RCP has simultaneously reinforced its central HR team. With each new person joining, the skillset and portfolio of the RCP family grew too. Whether it’s own IP projects or work-for-hire, the partner studios are equipped even more with the needed expertise.
“We are super proud that so many new peeps from all backgrounds have answered our call to join the family. With this tailwind, we will push even harder to contribute our part to a healthy games industry and create sustainable success for our teams.” – said Hendrik Lesser, CEO of remote control productions.
