Power up for rcp’s international dev forces

Dreamloop Games, Big Blue Studios and new prospects boost the growth of Europe’s biggest developer family

Munich, August 28th, 2018 – remote control productions is continuing its international expansion. We are thrilled to announce that two new game developer studios have joined the ever-expanding rcp family as official members: Dreamloop Games from Finland and Big Blue Studios from Romania. At Europe’s biggest developer family, we’re now boosting 14 developer studios as well as our supporting companies for gamification, publishing and digital marketing, who altogether shipped over 120 games so far.

Big Blue Studios from Bucharest who have been the first studio to team up with rcp right at the launch of our subsidiary in Romania in 2017 now joined the family with full effect and their more than 30 heads strong team of experienced developers. The studio launched Parker & Lane – Criminal Justice earlier this year and is currently working with different partners on multiple titles – most notable being the collaboration with Tate Multimedia on Steel Rats, which recently won the “Game Connection America Best Gameplay Award”.

Earlier this year, we on-boarded Finnish Dreamloop Games, a talented indie studio driven by community focused game development that recently achieved full cross platform with their long-seller Stardust Galaxy Warriors – launched in 2015 for PC and 2016 for console – that is now announced to come to the Nintendo Switch with the help of publisher Aksys Games.

Dreamloop’s co-founder and CEO Joni Lappalainen comments on tying the family bonds: ”Joining the rcp family is giving us unique opportunities to grow towards international markets, pitch for major IPs and bring our own projects to life. We feel well integrated at rcp and share a lot of inspiration and knowledge with the family members.”

“I’m happy that we could win Big Blue Studios and Dreamloop Games as full members of the rcp family and yet have three studio prospects we believe in and already collaborate closely with: Exordium Games, the developers behind Bear With Me from Croatia; Monokel, an independent studio for interactive narratives in games, films and transmedia; and Beeast Games, an indie team currently working on a mobile action RPG,” says Hendrik Lesser, founder and CEO of rcp. “Our professional skill set is improving even faster and we have more diversity and expertise within the family than ever before. Our assignments get bigger and the quality of our games is getting better and better. We’re talking about 14 developer studios, 20 companies in general and 250 awesome colleagues in the family studios in 5 countries now. This shows how our sustainable business model that exists for 13 years now, is a growing and unrivaled success story that will not stop yet.”
